Functionality:
R4V/R6V Series
The system pressure is applied through the X channel to the spring-loaded cone on the pilot stage head. The pilot stage head controls the pressure in the Z area of the main valve spool, which is additionally held closed by the main spring. If the pilot stage pressure exceeds the set pressure, the pilot stage spool opens, limiting the pilot stage pressure. When the system pressure exceeds the pilot stage pressure plus the spring force, the main valve spool opens to the T port, limiting the pressure at the P port to the adjusted level.
R4V/R6V Series with Venting Function
In addition to pressure reduction, the solenoid-operated venting valve connects the Z area to the tank. This allows oil circulation from P to T with minimal pressure drop. The venting valve can be a standard CETOP 03 valve (R6V) or a subplate unit (R4V). For both types, the venting position can be in either the energized or de-energized solenoid state.
